By accessing or using JOOVE ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. JOOVE is a trademark of and is operated by 100 Founts Pty Ltd (Australia), and is subject to Australian law.
JOOVE is a real-time community reuse platform that maps items available for reuse on Australian streets, including kerbside donations, garage sales, hazards, and community events. The Platform connects donors and collectors through an interactive map, AI-powered cataloguing, and local regulation guidance.
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, descriptions, locations). By posting content on JOOVE, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and use that content within the Platform for the purpose of operating the service. You represent that your content:
You agree not to:
Important: JOOVE does not condone or incentivise illegal dumping. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any items placed on the kerbside comply with their respective local council's hard rubbish and illegal dumping regulations.
JOOVE offers Free, Pro ($6.99/month or $69/year), and Max ($19.99/month) subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree that:
Pro and Max users have access to AI-powered item detection and cataloguing. AI-generated descriptions are suggestions and should be reviewed for accuracy before publishing. JOOVE is not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated content. Users are responsible for verifying and editing all AI suggestions before publication.
JOOVE uses a community-driven moderation system. Users can cast one vote per listing using the following options: "I Took It", "On My Way", "Not There", or "Visual Pollution". Automated actions (such as archiving a post after sufficient "I Took It" votes, or escalating to hazard status after multiple "Visual Pollution" votes) are based on community consensus. JOOVE reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
JOOVE allows users to post listings for free food items ("Food Listings"). By creating a Food Listing, you agree that:
Important: To the maximum extent permitted by law, JOOVE shall not be liable for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, or death arising from the consumption of food listed or obtained through the Platform.
JOOVE acts solely as an informational platform connecting community members. We do not endorse, guarantee, or verify the condition, legality, or safety of any items listed on the Platform. You agree that using JOOVE, including placing or collecting items, is entirely at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JOOVE and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JOOVE, its founders, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any local laws or council regulations, or your infringement of any third-party rights (including property or privacy rights).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
JOOVE allows users to report environmental hazards, illegal dumping, and community safety concerns ("Hazard Reports"). By submitting a Hazard Report, you agree to the following:
JOOVE may share anonymised, aggregated environmental impact data with Australian Local Government Areas (LGAs) and relevant government bodies (including DCCEEW) for the purpose of sustainability reporting and community waste diversion measurement.
What is shared: Only pre-aggregated, de-identified statistics — such as total items diverted, estimated CO₂ avoided, and activity counts per suburb or LGA. No personal data, names, addresses, or individual post details are shared with any government body.
Data Sharing Agreement: Any Local Government Area accessing disaggregated data through the JOOVE Council Dashboard must sign a Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) confirming that shared data will not be used to re-identify individual users and will be used solely for sustainability reporting purposes.
Opt-out: Users may opt out of inclusion in government data reports at any time via Settings → Privacy. Because all shared data is pre-aggregated and anonymous, this opt-out is a compliance mechanism consistent with Australian Privacy Principle 3 (APP 3) and does not affect your ability to use the Platform.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@joove.app.
